1. Walls and Ceilings

• Hardwood, laminate, tile, or carpet: scratches, gaps, buckling, uneven surfaces

• Tile grout and caulking: cracks, missing grout, inconsistent application

• Floor transitions between rooms: properly aligned and secure
  

3. Doors and Windows

• Doors: proper swing, alignment, gaps, latching, and locking

• Closet and cabinet doors: alignment, smooth operation, and secure hinges

• Windows: operation, sealing, locking, and condensation issues

• Weatherstripping and trim: gaps or improper installation
  

4. Kitchens

6. Electrical & Lighting

• Switches and outlets: proper function, placement, and faceplate alignment

• Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors: installed and operational
  

7. HVAC and Mechanical

• Thermostats: proper operation and location

• Baseboards, crown molding, and casings: properly installed, no gaps, flush with walls
